The below map shows the 950,000 acres of land along the Grand River that is detailed in the Haldimand Proclamation, a 1784 proclamation granting to the Haudenosaunee lands along the Grant River, sretching out six miles on each side of the River, from the river's mouth to its source. The area in purple indicates the approximate 45,000 acres of the Six Nations reserve --all that Canada says is left to the Six Nations of this original grant. The lines shapes within this Grant River land /Haldimand tract outline the different areas of land that were purportedly surrendered by the Six Nations.
Use the mouse to roll-over the different areas of land in order to view a brief summary of when Canada says the land was transferred, and whether or not the Six Nations agree with Canada's claims. More on Six Nations' claims and potential future claims can be found by following the above links to the Claims and Potential Clams maps.
